Born: Robert Bright on the 3rd February 1945 in Watford, Hertfordshire England.

Bobby moved to Australia with his Mother when he was eight years old and lived in Adelaide with his Grandmother..

Bobby came to Melbourne when he was seventeen, the rest is definitely history.

Bobby’s Bits

Johnny Coco who recorded the last Bobby & Laurie album – Turning Point- has just released an album on Itunes called Glass Wall by Coco. Bobby helped on some of the tracks and sang a few bits…. Its dance/electronic.

A little trivia from Bob…The end of Glass Wall is the sound of his shower curtain being closed…

Fan Mail

Adelaide fan Lyn Cartwright was a huge fan of Bobby & Laurie’s in the 60’s and regrets that she never got to see them on stage. Lyn is hoping that Bobby and his band will one day make it to Adelaide…she will be there…Lyn wishes Bobby all the best.

From Kasper DJ from Gippsland…Thanks for the information on Bobby Bright, great stuff, Bobby & Laurie are icons.

From Carol in Sydney . Found your site on the Spraci board, I have been a fan of Bobby’s right back from the 60’s, great to see some info on him…just one thing to say to you….Thank you.

From Luke in Brisbane..I am 27 and have been a fan of Bobby & Laurie music for sometime, I have known of Hitch Hiker and I Belong With You since 1995 and I love the music on the “I Belong With You “ cd which I have..I would like to say a comment about your Bobby Bright page which is on your website, that is I love it , great info about him which I didn’t know, about being born in England. I did email him about a year ago, I hope that one day he will make it to Brisbane to do some shows. I know he is writing a book which I think will be a great read.

Keep up the good work on the website and continue impressing the people about Laurie….Thanks from  Luke.

From Brad, Kew . I think your Laurie Allen website is fabulous!  Very informative and nostalgic! We recently had the pleasure of Bobby Bright appearing at the Kew RSL Club.

It was a terrific night with over one hundred people in attendance; great music and great musicians. I only wish I’d remembered the camera

One of Bobby’s biggest fans was Laurie’s Aunty Renee, not long after Laurie passed away at a private party Aunty Renee made a request for Bob to sing her favourite song, “Carroll Country Accident”.How could anyone not  have given Aunty Renee what she wanted. As hard as it was, still feeling the loss of Laurie, the request was granted with a little help from another of Laurie’s friends, Warren Keats.
